'Summer Diary' - One Day Painting Show - May 31, at Ruby Mountain in Mount Airy

I'm excited to share a one day exhibition of my latest painting work, 'Summer Diary' on Saturday May 31at Ruby Mountain Goods (6782 Germantown Ave, Mount Airy).

'Summer Diary' features 92 new paintings, each representing a calendar page of the three core summer months. These six-inch square works will be displayed as a full-room installation, creating a visual scrapbook of the season. Featuring text and simple, bold images  - people, cars, phones, flowers, houses - the work seeks to illustrate an inner monologue, a ledger of summer, meditations on technology, identity and loneliness, as well as a love letter to Philadelphia.

Making this work, and continuing to expand my creative practice from its core of photography, continues to be a joyful, gratifying experience. I'm grateful to Molly at Ruby Mountain for welcoming 'Summer Diary', and encourage you to patronize her thoughtfully curated shop while you check out the show.

See you May 31!
